Man Looses Penis

SHELBYVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A Kentucky man suing a doctor for
amputating his penis testified that the moment he learned part of
the organ had been removed, he wanted to flee the hospital.

Former truck driver Phillip Seaton testified Monday during his
civil trial against Dr. John Patterson. He says when the doctor
told him the news after the 2007 surgery, he went into the
restroom, pulled down the surgical dressing and couldn't see his
penis.

Seaton, of Waddy, and his wife, Deborah, are seeking unspecified
damages for "loss of service, love and affection" following what
they say was supposed to have been a circumcision.

Patterson's attorney said during opening arguments in Shelby
County Circuit Court that the doctor discovered deadly penile
cancer during the surgery, and that Seaton had initialed a document
authorizing treatment in unforeseen circumstances.
